Some of Our Success Stories
I feel lucky to be at Corpus ChristiI feel like I was lucky to get in at Corpus Christi. I’d been living in a rooming house for 15 years before here, and it was rough. I’ve got a 16-year-old daughter and she helped me get moved – she’s a smart kid! The food’s good and the staff’s good, and my family can come and visit me here. The blokes here, we’ve done nothing wrong – we’ve just been unlucky. I’ve made a few friends here and have started doing art, drawing and making dreamcatchers. I also volunteer doing woodwork for the Salvation Army.Rob
I can sleep at night againWhen I arrived here, I realised there was so much I could obtain, and learn, and give. Remorse, forgiveness, love, understanding, meaning – once you get there, you can start sleeping at night. I’m a great thinker. I want to write a book one day – but for now, I play a lot of pool, and do art. Corpus Christi gives you the right stepping stones – you can gain here if you listen. We’re all on a different path, and we can all change our lives – and when we receive, that’s when we can start to give, as well.”Richie
