Corpus Christi Community, Greenvale is a residential care facility that provides accommodation and support to a broad range of men with varying needs. We welcome admission enquiries from individuals, family and friends as well as referrals from agencies within the aged care, mental health, hospital, homeless and community services sectors.

We offer aged care funded places to older men in need of personal care and assistance, as well as limited number of unfunded places to men who do not qualify for aged care funding and have little to no personal care needs but wish to live independently within our community, and benefit from affordable housing and community support.

You may be eligible for a funded place at our community if you are an older man in need of supported care and assistance, or an unfunded place if you have few personal care needs, but wish to live independently within our community with the benefit of affordable housing and support.

To gain admission, you must be in one or more of the following groups to qualify for a place at our Community:

  • Men, generally over 50 with a history of homelessness and/or personal support needs.
  • Men who have, or are eligible for an Aged Care Assessment (ACAS).
  • Men with little to no support needs who wish to live independently within a caring and supportive residential care environment.

In addition, to meet the fees payable to live at our community;

  • Be in receipt of the Disablity Support Pension or Aged Pension

Applicants that have personal care needs and wish to apply for a funded place at our community will need to apply for an Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS) Assessment which will state their eligibility for a funded place at our community. If you do not have an ACAS assessment, or if assistance is required to obtain this assessment, please contact our Admissions Officer on (03) 9333 1444. Alternatively, for more information please visit My Aged Care

All of our residents are asked to pay a basic daily fee, deducted from your aged care or disability support pension. This fee goes towards covering all of your day-to-day living costs such as meals, cleaning, laundry, use of amenities and activities.

All of your personal and medical care is also covered under this fee, provided you have assets below $46,500. Should your assets exceed this amount, you may incur additional charges which will be calculated based on your individual financial circumstances. These fees are regulated by the Australian Government. For more information about fees, please visit My Aged Care.

We also offer a home to residents who have few personal care needs, but are in need of secure affordable housing and community support. Like our Australian Government funded residents, unfunded residents are required to contribute part of their pension to cover their day to day living costs. You will also have the opportunity to contribute our Community’s operations through helping out in the kitchen or tending to our gardens.

In addition to the fees and charges associated with your care and accommodation, you are required to pay for your pharmaceutical costs which includes all medications as prescribed by your treating doctor. We provide all of our residents with an invoice at the end of each month detailing the costs and the amount payable.

Residents are offered two methods for fee payment. Fees can be deducted from your fortnightly Centrelink payments through Centrepay, or you can make a direct deposit into our bank account account each fortnight. Corpus Christi Community, Greenvale also provides the option of a trust account service for all residents. Items such as newspapers, telephones, hairdressing, kiosk purchases and pharmacy can be charged to your trust account, reducing your need to manage cash.
