Admissions
Corpus Christi Community, Greenvale is a residential care facility that provides accommodation and support to a broad range of men with varying needs. We welcome admission enquiries from individuals, family and friends as well as referrals from agencies within the aged care, mental health, hospital, homeless and community services sectors.
Funding Arrangements
We offer aged care funded places to older men in need of personal care and assistance, within our community.
Eligibility Criteria
You may be eligible for a funded place at our community if you are an older man in need of supported care and assistance.
To gain admission, you would be in one or more of the following criteria to qualify for a place in our community:
- Male
- Eligible for an Aged Care Assessment (ACAS)
- Generally over 60 years of age
- From marginalized / homeless background
- Has some personal support needs
- Wish to live within a caring supportive residential environment
In addition, to meet the fees payable to live at our community;
Applicants will need to apply for an Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS) Assessment which will state their eligibility for a funded place at our community. If you do not have an ACAS assessment, or if assistance is required to obtain this assessment, please contact our Admissions Officer on (03) 9070 8300. Fees & Charges
FUNDED PLACES
We also offer a home to residents who have few personal care needs, but are in need of secure affordable housing and community support.
Like our Australian Government funded residents, unfunded residents are required to contribute part of their pension to cover their day to day living costs. You will also have the opportunity to contribute our Community’s operations through helping out in the kitchen or tending to our gardens.
Medication & Pharmaceutical Costs
In addition to the fees and charges associated with your care and accommodation, you are required to pay for your pharmaceutical costs which includes all medications as prescribed by your treating doctor. We provide all of our residents with an invoice at the end of each month detailing the costs and the amount payable.
Payment of Fees
Residents are offered two methods for fee payment. Fees can be deducted from your fortnightly Centrelink payments through Centrepay, or you can make a direct deposit into our bank account each fortnight. Corpus Christi Community, Greenvale also provides the option of a trust account service for all residents. Items such as newspapers, telephones, hairdressing, kiosk purchases and pharmacy can be charged to your trust account, reducing your need to manage cash.
